The shepherd’s hut at Humblescough Farm is nestled in a quiet corner of our caravan site and overlooks a wildlife pond. You can enjoy the lovely views of the Bowland Fells and watch over the sheep which are usually grazing in the fields. The hand-built hut has electricity and water. Inside you will find all you need for a comfortable stay. There is a fixed bed, a folding table with two chairs, along with a kitchen area which has a sink, microwave and basic cooking facilities. There is also a bathroom with a shower, sink, toilet and electric towel radiator. Toiletries are provided. The hut has a TV and a radio but there is no WiFi which gives you a perfect opportunity for a digital detox. Storage is available in a tall cupboard and in the large drawers under the bed.
We aim to be as environmentally responsible as possible. Eco-friendly washing up liquid and cleaning products are available in the kitchen area and the complimentary tea and coffee are fairtrade.
A covered outdoor area is located next to the hut. There are chairs for outdoor seating and a box of supplies for a barbecue – charcoal, firelighters and foil trays. Car parking is available next to the hut.
We want you to feel that our Shepherd’s Hut is a place where you can relax and enjoy being surrounded by peaceful farmland with an abundance of wildlife. The site is quite dark and it’s a great place for star-gazing on a clear night.
